Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment, or do you take walk-ins?
For routine visits, booking ahead is best: no waiting around, and the doctor's time is dedicated to your pet. Sick pets and urgent cases get worked in the same day, so call or text first and we'll be ready when you arrive.
How much does an exam cost?
The exam fee is a flat price we'll gladly share when you call or text, so there are no surprises. Anything beyond the exam gets a written estimate first, and nothing happens without your approval.
Do you take pet insurance?
Yes, we work with all pet insurance plans. Insurance in the US reimburses you directly, so you pay at the time of the visit and we handle the claim paperwork with you. We also accept CareCredit if you'd rather split payments.
What if something happens after hours?
During office hours, call us and we'll see your pet the same day. Overnight and on holidays, we'll point you to our partner 24-hour emergency hospital, and we follow up with them the next morning so your pet's records stay in one place.
My cat hates the vet. How do you handle that?
Our team is Fear Free certified and we see cats on their terms: a quiet room away from the dogs, no forced restraint, and as much time as they need. Bring the carrier covered with a towel (it helps more than you'd think).
I'm switching from another vet. What do I need to bring?
Just your pet. With your OK, we'll request the records and vaccine history from your previous clinic ourselves, so you don't have to chase paperwork. Rescues with no history are welcome too: we'll build it from scratch.
